Evoluția indicilor preţurilor producătorului la produsele agricole în Rebuplica Moldova

Abstract

Moldova possesses the largest area of farmland as a share of its total land surface, an advantage that should encourage economic development strategies oriented towards the agriculture sector. That is why, The Republic of Moldova has prioritized plans and policies aimed at improving the competitiveness of the country’s agriculture sector as part of the National Strategy on Agriculture and Rural Development for the period 2014 - 2020. The return to competitiveness in the agricultural sector is essential for Moldova, not only because it directly improves farmers’ disparately low income, but also because it is expected to act as a countermeasure to curtail the outflow of young people from rural areas; an approach regarded as the key factor to the sustainable growth of the country. Since 2000 there have been a lot of changes in the producer price indices of agricultural products in the Republic of Moldova, which were influenced by many factors and have an important role in the country's economy.
