Abstract:
Fiscal sustainability is the capacity of a state to cover its current expenses, taking into account the risk of default on part of the debts. The global economic and financial crisis has shown how important fiscal-budgetary sustainability is. Keeping public debt under control is essential to the smooth functioning of the economy. The purpose of the research is to highlight the impact of fiscal policy on fiscal sustainability. In the research process, mainly economic and mathematical methods were used. The fiscal policy must be correlated with the level of economic development of the country. The main challenge for fiscal sustainability is the low collection of budget revenues that influence the level of public debt. JEL: H21, H63
