Abstract

The actuality of the theme is determined by contemporary social changes that require appropriate political values to foster the further transformation. The intention of our research was to study the nature of the political values, the functions of these values, and especially what is their role in the system of political relations. For this purpose, such methods were used as historical method, comparative method, analysis and synthesis. The ensemble of political values forms a system that is a link of the political relations of society. Political socialization plays a key role in shaping political values, a process that can be regarded as a learning process through which individuals acquire knowledge about the state and political life. Political values express the essence of the political life of a community. They are the basis of the political relations. When social relations change, there is a re-evaluation of values, new political values emerge. JEL: D72
