Caracteristicile spaţiului agricol şi dinamica la nivelul României

Abstract

EU accession is probably the most powerful pressure factor for rapid reform of the Romanian agriculture and rural economy, given the need for successful integration into the European rural economy. The European model of agriculture is based on a competitive market-oriented sector, while fulfilling other public functions such as protecting the environment, offering more convenient residential settlements for the rural population, and integrating agriculture with the environment and forestry. The Romanian rural economy, dominated by agriculture, is still poorly integrated into the market economy. In the current market economy context, the welfare of rural and urban citizens and the wellbeing of agricultural producers depend on how marketing techniques are understood and applied. JEL: Q13, Q15
