Abstract:
The author analyses the main factors that determine the process of European integration: •Economic integration that enhances the security of states, their sustainable development, also solving their environmental problems; • The media, which provides a platform for dialogue and contributes to forming a European identity; • Building a common cultural area, encouraging the diversity and the cultural dialogue. In this context, the author evokes the reflections of Constantin Noica and Jurgen Habermas on the role of the culture, philosophy and religion in process of European integration.
