dc.description.abstract An important area of crime prevention is the comprehensive criminological expertise of draft laws adopted by the legislature. One of the components of the complex criminological expertise is legal crimological analysis of the draft law. Purpose: In this article we aim to analyze the concept, the main directions of the criminological analysis of the draft laws, the legal defects caused by the non-conformity of the draft laws with the values of the society, certain social groups and personality. Methods of research: The main research methods applied in the present study are the logical method, the method of analysis, the synthesis method, the method of prognosis, etc. Results: As a result of the study, we intend to come up with arguments for the necessity and importance of submitting draft normative acts to the criminological expertise.
