Abstract

This research aims to provide an overview of the evolution of accounting and the inclusion of this profession in the digital age. Technology is advancing very fast, and of course it has also entered the field of accounting, and this is a challenge, because the accountant has to adapt to changes. Digitization is a very important thing, given that the need for accountants to become more skilled and familiar with the data has been identified as one of the important ways that can help the accounting profession continue to thrive in the midst of digital transformation. Digitization has many advantages in the field of accounting, in terms of speed of data processing, presentation of reports and fulfillment of the complete and correct task. JEL: M41, M49.
